PHILOSOPHY

Our intensive method is not based on interactive touchscreens, projectors, colorful books with dozens of images, collaborative learning with foreign students via the internet, imitating the teacher to explain a simple word in German just because it’s “forbidden” to use Greek, nor wasting PRECIOUS teaching time on exercises in class, let alone for audio tests. Anything that constitutes a waste of time is absent from our GF method!

From the very beginning, the learner comes into contact with the lively, everyday language. Not with the direct communicative approach, which is certainly suitable ONLY for young children who absorb grammatical structures and vocabulary empirically, but rather with a concise – and dare we say entertaining – teaching of grammar and syntax through simple MEMORABLE RULES that make them immediately assimilable, with the simultaneous presentation of seemingly huge amounts of vocabulary – not randomly thrown but inductively given from the root of each word, directly correlated with the learner’s existing knowledge from both the English language (which, after all, has remarkable similarities with German) and, of course, from their native Greek.

This method has been tested for SIX decades, and the UNIVERSAL success rates of our students after a few months of preparation in the demanding exams of the Goethe Institut at levels B2, C1, and C2 – especially in the oral part of the exams – certify its effectiveness.

It is precisely the rejection of all modern methods and our commitment to the “traditional” way that Europeans – mainly scholars and diplomats – taught foreign languages for centuries. This approach allows us to have significantly shortened the teaching time, achieving remarkable results palpable from the very FIRST lesson!

In the “QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS” section, our method will be analyzed in an extremely simple and understandable way, covering any possible questions you may have, created through the presentation of its Philosophy, which we attempted to outline here.
